Waltzingmouse Pajama Party March

Hi, this is a card challenge for the Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama Party, Challenge 1, To Die For :

I made this card a while ago for a colour challenge, using Waltzingmouse stamps and die cut for the little lantern set, with a plaid stamped background. Hope that you like it.

Time is running away today, I had hoped to create a design using the funky feathers stamps and die cut.

I got my second card completed, not quite how I expected, using the funky feathers stamps and dies to create a fan, mounted on embossed kraft card and using Ritz background

Thank you for visiting, still time to enter your design check out the Waltzingmouse stamps blog for entry details.

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge No 12

Hi, this is a card for the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge Number 12, For the Boys.

I do not make many cards that are not floral and feminine, so this was a true challenge for me. Using one of my Waltzingmouse sets that was suitable, the Ocean Bound set, and a spellbinders die set, so that my card could be very simple and not fussy, masculine, hopefully. I took inspiration from Claire and the Waltzingmouse Blog for the splatted sea stamp and a favourite Spellbinders die set was used.

Stamped using Marine Blue & Summer Sky inks with a kraft card contrast mount. My first choice with the Anchor.

Then tried out other sentiments from the set, for a "Bon Voyage" card

Final photograph is of a trio of cards all in the same style and colourways, my two previous cards and a third one with the sentiment "Anchors Away --- Sailor Boy" My thoughts were for another Bon Voyage travelling card.

Hope that you enjoyed looking at my designs, thank you for visiting

Yesterday we had eleven buzzards in our top field, have not seen so many together before.

Some Alpaca Photos

Hi, lovely sunny day so far so grabbed my camera for some alpaca photos.

First up is the lovely Pasha, he is so cuddly. Sired by our Supreme Champion, Cherwell Leys Tangaroa.
His Dam is first placed female Cherwell Leys PrimaVera, her Dam was first placed in the Dam's Progeny class.

Next is gorgeous Georgii, her dam is Princess, she is sired by Woody, who has some excellent cria to his name. Princess has Ruffo in her pedigree, Woody has Commisario and Peruvian Caesar in his pedigree.

Another wonderful Woody cria is Highland Rain. Her dam is Highland Shadow. Can you see the similarities between them both ? Highland Shadow has Highlander and Commisario in her pedigree.

This is a photo of Ikatere, sired by Cherwell Leys Tangaroa, dam is Camillia (PrimaVera's dam too)
He has the same fleece as Pasha, photo number 1, which is different to our Woody cria. Last year was the first of Tango's cria, all boys, hoping for some girls this year. Woody had his first cria 2012, all boys and last year he had mainly girls.

Finally today is Sunset's Hero, a rose grey/roan with his pedigree including the infamous Australian Sire, Blue Grass Waterloo Sunset. We are hoping that he has a very bright future.

That's all for today.

Waltzingmouse meets Sochi

Hi, Time for a colourful Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge, and some of my favourite colours.

This time I was inspired by the Sochi Winter Olympic Games, after watching the snowboard slopestyle and seeing the Russian Matryoshka watching over the action, and joining in sometimes. Just had to use the You're a Doll set of stamps and then create a patchwork background, had to use hexagon shapes though.
Hope that you like it, I even included the games motto, Hot, Cool, Yours !!

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge

Hi, another challenge from Waltzingmouse Fanatics using a sketch this time.

As soon as I saw this sketch it reminded me of shafts of light, so I decided to use one of the lantern stamps complete with its matching die cut.

The shafts of light were stamped with zig zag background as they looked like the lamp beams of light shining out. The background of my card was made using my new brayer, a new technique to me to produce the dark night sky. My sentiment was from the Light of the World sentiments stamps.

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge Card

Hi, lovely sunny day today, still waiting for the flooded paddocks to clear, but we have plenty of space for the alpacas, just hoping that the grass will be ok when it resurfaces.

I have made another card for the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge, this time using fabric. I had an idea for bunting made from calico and then stamped but this did not work out like I had imagined, so had to revert to a card design. My added fabric is narrow strips of gold ribbon to edge the wide band of gingham check stamping, with borders from the Nordic Spring Stamp Set. Country Labels No 4 provided the stamp that holds the sentiment from A Cottage Home. The flowers were stamped from You're A Doll and then cut with the die cut. Hope that you like my ideas for a New Home Card.

Thank you for visiting, hope that you are having a craft filled day. I am off to some knitting, with our own alpaca wool.

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Colour Challenge

Hi and Happy New Year to you all,

This post is my card inspired by the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Colour Challenge.

After too many false stamping starts using Folk Art Medallions, one of my favourite sets, You're a Doll, another fun set and others I finally settled on Little Lanterns, Light of the World Sentiments and Country Labels No 4 for the frame, Pic Nic Patterns to make up the background plaid design in peachy oragne and black. I have the die cuts for the lanterns they are such a breeze to use.

Thank you for visiting and I love to read your comments, thank you
